Our symbol is Times Square. Speaking of the word "USA", we always represent a huge city with high skyscrapers. They mean the greatness and freedom of the country. Times Square is the most visited area in New York. It shows our understanding of the U.S. as well as possible.
Times Square is a major commercial intersection in Midtown Manhattan. One of the most popular and frequently visited places in New York. Advanced area of Times Square, called the Theatre District, consists of the blocks between 6th and 8th Avenue from east to west, and west of 40th and West 53rd streets from south to north, forming the entire western part of the commercial district of Manhattan .
Our human symbol is Elvis Presley. We have chosen him because he wrote many songs known and loved by the people all over the world. His songs gave hope to the people in difficult times. Hope has always been important to the U.S. – hope for new world, new country and new life.
Elvis Presley was born in 08.01.1935 in a small town Tyupelo Southern Mississippi. He was the son of immigrants from Ireland, Vernon and Gladys Presley. Twin of Elvis - Jesse Garon - died during childbirth. However, after finishing school (in 1953), he found nothing better than working as a driver for just $ 45 a week, and in the evenings he was engaged in a course to get a specialty electrician.
